OUR STORY
The waters around Hilton Head Island aren’t just a scenic backdrop—they’re home. I grew up on these waters and know them in every season, following how the fish and wildlife migrate and where they like to feed. That lifelong local knowledge guides every choice on your charter, from the spots we visit to the techniques we use, so you/your family can relax, have fun, and enjoy a safe, memorable day on the water together.
Hooked on HHI was created with a simple goal: to help guests make genuine memories on the water. Whether you’re introducing your kids to saltwater fishing, chasing your next trophy, or just looking for a fun afternoon on the water, the focus is always on providing an enjoyable experience from the first hello to the final photo at the dock.
CAPT. Ethan timperman
My name is Captain Ethan Timperman, I’m a Hilton Head Island native and USCG-licensed captain with a lifelong connection to local Hilton Head Island waters. I’m the founder of Hooked on HHI, a hospitality-driven charter business focused on professional operations, guest experience, and strong repeat client relationships. I’ve been working in the charter fishing industry since 2019, gaining hands-on experience working professionally on local and Florida Keys fishing charters. For years, I’ve been learning the business across inshore and offshore boats, as well as large-scale passenger fishing vessels—giving me a well-rounded understanding of diverse fisheries, techniques, and conditions.
As a local Hilton Head Island fishing guide, I’m on the water as much as possible, exploring and staying dialed in to ensure every trip has the best chance of success. I specialize in both inshore and offshore fishing charters. Whether you’re looking for inshore fishing, offshore fishing, or just a family-friendly day on the water, my goal is to provide a safe, fun, and memorable fishing experience for anglers of all skill levels. From first-time anglers to seasoned fishermen, I take pride in sharing local knowledge, creating great memories, and delivering an authentic Hilton Head Island charter fishing experience.

OUR BOAT & GEAR
Our charter boat is a Glacier Bay Canyon Runner 2665, a highly respected fishing catamaran known for its smooth ride, stability, and safety—perfect for fishing the waters of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
For your comfort, the boat includes a fully enclosed marine toilet (head), which is especially convenient for families and longer trips.
The Glacier Bay’s twin-hull design delivers a noticeably smoother and drier ride and provides a more spacious deck compared to traditional single-hull boats, making it and excellent choice for anglers of all experience levels. Wether we running the inshore sounds and rivers, nearshore reefs and sandbars, or heading offshore when conditions allow, this boat is built to handle most sea conditions comfortably and confidently.
Our gear is top of the line, chosen for reliability and performance on the water. From smooth, well-maintained reels to quality tackle and electronics, everything on board is selected to help you make the most of every cast.
